Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated Telecom Operator to manage communications across a large healthcare system. This role ensures 24/7 coverage, handles incoming calls, pages emergency codes, and supports patients, families, and professionals with critical information.

The operator will monitor alarm systems, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and act as a Super User for Primex OneVue while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience handling high-volume calls and paging.
• Ability to coordinate emergency codes and alerts.

Responsibilities

• Answer and transfer calls promptly and courteously.
• Announce and page emergency codes in a timely manner.
• Maintain on-call physician schedules and relay messages accurately.
• Monitor alarm systems and respond to critical alerts.
• Provide staff training and support for operators.
