Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a Hospital Account Manager (KAM) to establish access and demand for a novel IV antibiotic in the institutional market across a defined U.S. territory.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• Demonstrated hospital/health system experience with anti-infective products is preferred.
• Strong understanding of formulary processes and hospital purchasing policies.
• Ability to navigate hospital systems and gain access to key decision makers.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and listening skills.
• Willingness to travel ~80% of the year.

Responsibilities

• Establish clinical understanding and demand within ID physicians, pharmacists and microbiology staff for target hospital accounts.
• Promote product through institutional formulary processes and educate customers on appropriate use.
• Engage Pharmacy Directors, ID Pharmacists, physicians and microbiology staff to expand institutional access.
• Educate and present to clinicians through one-on-one meetings and formal programs.
• Develop territory plans and optimize routes to maximize field productivity.
• Report field activities and territory expenses in a timely manner.
