Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a Key Account Manager to establish clinical understanding and demand for a novel hospital antibiotic within assigned U.S. hospitals and systems.

You will educate formulary decision-makers and clinicians on clinical benefits and work to gain formulary adoption in the IV antibiotic space. The ideal candidate has infectious disease knowledge and an ability to communicate complex clinical data to ID physicians, pharmacists, and microbiology labs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• Hospital-based pharmaceutical experience is required.
• Strong understanding of formulary process and reimbursement policies.
• Ability to navigate hospital systems to gain access to key decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Establish clinical understanding and demand within ID physician, pharmacist and microbiology community for target accounts.
• Promote product by navigating institutional formulary approval processes and educating customers.
• Call on and educate clinicians and stakeholders in institutions on appropriate use of products.
