Job summary

Shionogi Inc. (U.S.) is seeking a KAM to establish formulary access and demand for a hospital antibiotic across an assigned territory.

You will educate formulary decision makers, physicians and pharmacists on clinical benefits and drive formulary adoption in the institutional IV space. The role requires deep infectious disease knowledge, hospital product purchasing experience, and the ability to navigate formulary processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• Hospital-based pharmaceutical experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of infectious disease and hospital formulary processes.
• Ability to travel up to 80% of the year.
• Excellent communication with physicians, pharmacists and microbiology labs.

Responsibilities

• Establish clinical understanding and demand for target accounts.
• Promote product by navigating formulary approval processes and educating customers.
• Understand and leverage access landscape to expand institutional product access.
• Educate stakeholders through meetings, presentations and education programs.
• Develop relationships with ID physicians, pharmacists and microbiology labs to expand product adoption.
• Ensure high field productivity and hit call plans for the territory.
• Collaborate with regional teams on formulary changes and KOL engagement.
• Report field activities and territory expenses timely.
