Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a Hospital Account Manager (KAM) to establish access and demand for a novel IV antibiotic in hospitals and hospital systems across a defined US territory.

You will educate formulary decision makers, ID physicians, pharmacists and microbiology labs on clinical benefits and drive formulary adoption. The ideal candidate has deep infectious disease knowledge, proven hospital or health-system experience, and the ability to navigate formulary and reimbursement processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required.
• Hospital-based pharmaceutical experience is required.
• Experience in hospital or health system environments with anti-infective or IV products preferred.
• Understanding of formulary processes and reimbursement policies.

Responsibilities

• Establish clinical understanding and demand within ID physicians, pharmacists and microbiology for target accounts.
• Promote product in the geographical area by navigating formulary approval and educating on appropriate use.
• Engage Pharmacy Directors, ID Pharmacists, ID Physicians, Microbiologists to expand institutional access.
• Educate stakeholders through one-on-one meetings, presentations and professional programs.
• Achieve formulary adoption goals within territory and exceed call plan targets.
• Collaborate with regional teams on needs, KOL touchpoints and formulary changes.
