Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Physician Account Executive to grow admissions by building and expanding a defined book of physician practice referrals. You will open new accounts, nurture relationships with physicians, APPs, practice managers, and referral coordinators, and communicate how hospice fits into the patient journey.

The role is hands-on, requiring a hunter mentality, organization under pressure, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care when it matters most.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; healthcare sales experience valued.
• 5+ years outside sales with hunter mindset in healthcare sales preferred.
• Existing relationships with physician practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow hospice admissions by opening and expanding physician accounts.
• Prospect daily to access physicians and key decision-makers.
• Secure referrals and coordinate with operations for rapid admission.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and referrals.
• Build trust-based relationships with physicians, PAs, and staff.
• Represent Compassus at medical conferences to convey service value.
