Job summary

Amedisys in Morgantown, WV is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Hospice After Hour On-Call. You will provide remote and field-based nursing support, triage patient needs after hours, and coordinate care to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role includes 7 days on, 7 days off scheduling and territory coverage for Mon County. Current RN license, CPR, and 1+ year hospice/home health experience are required, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the applicable state(s).
• 1+ year nursing experience, hospice/home health or acute care preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call nursing support, triaging patient needs and determining appropriate interventions.
• Assess patient conditions via phone and/or in-person visits and escalate care as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians, care teams, and caregivers to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
• Deliver patient and caregiver education relating to symptom management and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and clinical decisions.
