Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant (HCC) to grow hospice admissions by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and expanding a defined book of business in the United States. The role emphasizes compassion, resilience, and professional handling of sensitive conversations to meet admissions and market share goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred.
• Five or more years of successful sales experience with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding goals.
• Excellent customer relationship management skills driving growth in long-standing accounts; hospice/home health/healthcare familiarity encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth by opening new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and partner with operations for rapid admissions.
• Meet or exceed weekly performance goals and maintain productivity with tenure-based expectations.
• Cultivate trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Show compassion and empathy to patients and families during emotional times in hospice care.
• Be available to work outside standard hours to ensure timely patient support.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations for continuous improvement.
• Adapt to changing business priorities and team structures as needed to support the business.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners about hospice care.
