Job summary

Medcare Hospice is seeking a Hospice Representative to drive referral growth and build strong partnerships within the assigned territory. The role emphasizes education of referral sources, relationship-building, and timely patient access to hospice services.

We are looking for a healthcare sales professional who can educate partners, travel within the service area, and manage the CRM to support admissions and referrals. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of professional sales experience.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining relationships with hospitals, physicians, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, and other referral partners.
• Educating healthcare professionals on hospice services, eligibility guidelines, and benefits of hospice care.
• Conducting in-services, presentations, and community outreach activities.
• Collaborating with Admissions, Intake, and Clinical teams to facilitate seamless patient referrals and admissions.
• Ensuring referral documentation is complete and supports hospice eligibility requirements.
• Maintaining accurate CRM and activity records.
• Creating and executing territory growth strategies.
• Meeting or exceeding referral, admission, and business development goals.
• Serving as a trusted resource to referral partners and healthcare professionals.
• Representing Medcare Hospice with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.
