Job summary

VITAS Healthcare seeks a Representative to educate physicians and healthcare leaders about hospice value, build trusted referral relationships, and advocate for Medicare hospice benefits. You’ll engage across physician offices, hospitals, and care facilities to guide families facing serious illness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years sales experience or in healthcare services preferred.
• Experience in competitive team environments with accountability and teamwork.
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and solution creation.
• Past military service a plus.
• Experience with volunteer organizations a plus.
• Hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Evidence of achieving sales goals within the market and/or demonstrates track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals.
• Strong customer service, sense of urgency and problem solving skills.
• Time Management and Organizational Skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of a need satisfaction selling process
• Ability to manage a territory, to conduct sales calls and to generate sales by building long term business partnerships
• Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with physician, healthcare leaders and professionals
• Guide referral sources through prognostication, hospice value proposition, and conversations for families facing serious illness
• Champion the benefits of the Medicare hospice benefit
• Work alongside clinical partners to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time
• Grow into a mission-aligned career with tools, mentorship, and momentum
