Job summary

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a motivated sales professional to educate physicians and healthcare leaders about the value of hospice care. You will build trusted relationships, guide referrals, and champion Medicare hospice benefits to ensure patients receive timely, appropriate care.

Based in a local VITAS office, you will travel across your territory, engaging physicians and care facilities to grow the program and support families during challenging times.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years sales experience or in healthcare services preferred.
• Participated in competitive team environment with individual accountability and teamwork.
• Able to demonstrate examples on critical thinking and created solutions.
• Past military service a plus.
• Experience with volunteer organization a plus.
• Hospice experience preferred but not required.
• Evidence of achieving sales goals within the market and/or demonstrates track record of exceeding corporate goals.
• Strong customer service, sense of urgency and problem solving skills.
• Time Management and Organizational Skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and successful application of a need satisfaction selling process.
• Ability to manage a territory, conduct sales calls and generate sales by building long term business partnerships.
• Strong interpersonal skills within all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with physician, healthcare leaders & professionals.
• Confidently guide referral sources through understanding prognostication, the hospice value proposition & effective conversations for families facing serious illness.
• Champion the benefits of the Medicare hospice benefit.
• Work alongside clinical partners to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.
