Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Per Diem CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, in-home end-of-life care and support for patients and families. You will work with the hospice team to deliver respectful, individualized care in alignment with the care plan.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meals and homemaking, and documenting patient status. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualificações

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance

Responsabilidades

• Provides personal care services to patients
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to personal and supportive care activities
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned
• Observes and reports changes in patient status and notifies the nurse
• Follows written instructions for personal care from a registered nurse as per care plan
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin
• Other duties as assigned
