Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on end-of-life care to patients at home as part of the hospice team.

You will assist with daily living activities, observe changes, follow written care plans, and support families, with pay ranging from $14.00 to $25.10 per hour for full-time roles. Qualifications

• Current CNA certification as per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles during transfers, ambulation, positioning and chores.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status.
• Follows written care instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises.
• Performs and records simple urine tests.
• Other duties as assigned.
