Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is hiring a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and support their families during end-of-life care. You will work with the hospice team to ensure respectful, individualized care aligned with the plan of care, while maintaining dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documenting changes, and supporting prescribed exercises under RN guidance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA).
• Current CPR certification.
• Preferred CNA experience within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with daily living activities and promotes comfort and dignity.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and basic lab tests as instructed.
