Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family, is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on support to patients and families during end-of-life care. You will assist with daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and collaborate with the hospice care team to deliver personalized care according to the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification or registration as per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with daily living activities and mobility.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to nurse.
• Follows written care instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and basic incontinence/urinal tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
