Job summary

Providence at Home with Compassus is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to grow admissions by building strong relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources. You will manage a defined book of business, identify eligible patients, and help ensure timely admissions with compassionate care.

The role requires a proven sales track record in healthcare, five-plus years, and the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with patients and families while maintaining professional standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business strongly preferred.
• Five (5) plus years of successful sales experience in relevant roles.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals and growing accounts.
• Experience in Hospice, Home Health, or Healthcare industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open new accounts and expand existing ones to grow the book of business.
• Secure referrals from physicians, staff, and administrators and coordinate with the operations team for rapid admissions.
• Take full ownership of meeting or exceeding weekly performance goals and stay productive.
• Cultivate and manage strong, trust-based relationships with referral sources using a consultative sales approach.
• Show genuine compassion and empathy to patients and families during emotional times.
• Be ready to work outside standard hours, including evenings and weekends, for timely care.
• Seek feedback from referral sources and relay insights to operations for improvement.
• Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to support changing priorities and team needs.
• Provide clinical training and education to referral partners about hospice care.
