Job summary

Clayton Retail is seeking a Home Consultant to guide customers through selecting floor plans, options, and coordinating construction for a world-class home buying experience. You will set appointments, demo displayed homes, and build relationships using the company CRM system.

The role emphasizes teamwork, schedule flexibility (including Saturdays), and professional presentation while protecting Clayton branding and assets throughout the sales process. Health benefits and 401K are provided.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship driven business to consumer sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanour and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Create a world class home buying experience by guiding customers to identify a floor plan and options and coordinating the construction process.
• Set home center visits using the prospect database and by converting ad calls and web leads to appointments.
• Demonstrate features and benefits of display homes to create added value for buyers.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities and company events.
• Work in a cooperative team environment and assist with miscellaneous duties as needed.
