Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a proactive Home Consultant to guide customers through floor plans, options, and the home buying journey, delivering a world-class experience on the showroom floor. You'll set appointments, demonstrate features, and coordinate construction while leveraging our CRM to follow up with prospects.

This full-time role offers a base salary of $50k plus commission and opportunities for growth within Clayton Retail.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship driven B2C sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture, promotional items, etc. (up to 75 lbs.)
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Create a world class home buying experience by guiding customers to identify a floor plan, select options, and coordinate the construction process.
• Set home center visits using the prospect database and by converting ad calls and web leads to appointments.
• Present potential buyers display homes and demonstrate features and benefits to create added value.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via the company’s CRM system.
• Assist manager with merchandising and maintain appearance of the homes.
• Develop, refine and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase center traffic.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities and other company sponsored functions.
• Work in a team environment and assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
