Job summary

Clayton Homes (New) is seeking a Retail Home Consultant to guide customers through floor plan selection, options, and coordinating construction to deliver a world-class home buying experience.

The role emphasizes relationship-driven sales, product demonstrations, and ongoing follow-up with prospects, with responsibilities spanning merchandising and appointments, within a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relationship driven business to consumer sales preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements that apply to the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture up to 75 lbs.
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Identify floor plans and options with customers to guide their home choice.
• Coordinate construction process and timelines for buyers.
• Present display homes and demonstrate features to add value.
• Set home center visits by converting leads to appointments.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up in the CRM.
• Assist with merchandising and decorating models to attract customers.
• Participate in sales meetings and training opportunities.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals.
