D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician in Salem, OR to maintain high customer satisfaction by handling warranty requests, performing repairs or coordinating subcontractors.

The role emphasizes timely, professional resolution of homeowner concerns after closing. Requirements include a GED or high school diploma, 3+ years in relevant repair work, and ability to travel among communities. Proficiency in MS Office and DRH Warranty apps is expected, with some overtime and lifting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three or more years related experience, including carpentry work, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Must have a vehicle capable of carrying supplies, valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime.
• Excel in effective and positive communications.
• Work effectively in high pressure situations.
• Ability to work independently and be productive without supervision.
• Ability to provide a systematic approach in carrying out assignments.
• Ability to utilize DRH Warranty applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate homeowner repair issues to determine warrantable items.
• Process written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions from supervisor for homeowner repairs.
• Perform necessary repairs to homes such as carpentry work, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Schedule and manage subcontractors to make designated warranty repairs.
• Ensure all repairs are completed within compliance standards.
• Certify warranty work is completed within contractor obligations.
• Develop and maintain good rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follow up with homeowners to ensure concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
• Process charge-back documentation and invoices.
• Conduct all business professionally to serve customers and the company.
