Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Technician to handle warranty-related repairs and coordinate subcontractors to resolve homeowner issues efficiently. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction and timely problem resolution across designated communities.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years of carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting experience, plus a valid driver’s license and strong communication skills. Expect travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3+ years related experience.
• Experience with carpentry, drywall, texture repair and painting.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive across communities.
• Proficient in MS Office and email; able to use DRH Warranty apps.
• Strong communication; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates homeowner repair issues to determine warrantable items.
• Processes written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions from supervisor for homeowner repairs.
• Performs repairs or schedules subcontractors for warranty work.
• Schedules and manages subcontractors to complete warranty repairs.
• Ensures repairs are completed within compliance standards.
• Certifies warranty work is completed within contractor obligations.
• Develops rapport with subcontractors and homeowners.
• Follows up with homeowners to address concerns promptly.
• Processes charge-back documentation and invoices.
• Maintains professional conduct to support goodwill and company profits.
• Ability to work overtime and travel overnight.
