Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team in North Carolina. The role involves setting up home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and nebulizers, and educating patients on proper usage.

The position requires licensure (CRTs/RRTs) with travel to patient sites, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality care. Comprehensive benefits and ample training are offered.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs are qualified for this position with state licensure in good standing.
• Must maintain valid license and meet state regulatory requirements.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for patient visits; mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, etc.).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Stay current on pulmonary rehab techniques and respiratory therapy concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency depends on center size and coverage.
