Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team in Williamston, NC. The role involves setting up home medical equipment including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units and educating patients on proper usage.

Responsibilities include operating and testing equipment, reviewing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and staying current on respiratory therapy concepts. After-hours on-call is required as needed.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics or EMTs may qualify depending on state rules.
• Must remain certified, registered or licensed by the applicable board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursed.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and educate patients on home medical equipment.
• Inspect, test and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine treatment.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
