Job summary

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. The role involves setting up home medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and other devices, and educating patients on proper use.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and patient records management. The candidate should have CRT or RRT credentials, hold the appropriate state/national license if applicable, and possess a reliable vehicle for travel to patients across the territory.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence per company policy.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Be on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency determined by center size and staffing.
