Job summary

Lincare in the United States is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. You will set up home medical equipment, including CPAP/BiPAP units, ventilators, and monitors, and educate patients on proper usage.

This role emphasizes safe operation, patient education, and maintaining accurate records in line with accreditation standards. You will participate in ongoing training and respond to on-call needs as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and educate patients on home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine suitable treatment in line with physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed, with frequency determined by center size and staffing.
