Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team in the United States. The role involves setting up home medical equipment such as ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units, educating patients on proper usage, and ensuring safe operation.

The patient-focused position requires knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation, strong communication skills, and reliable transportation for territory visits. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs credentialed in all states or as required by state law.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state/national board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in home state.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain complete patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of pulmonary homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.
