Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse in Williamston, NC to set up and educate patients on home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen concentrators. The role requires evaluating patient needs and coordinating with physicians to ensure proper treatment per orders.

Must be licensed (CRTs/RRTs expected), possess a valid driver's license, and have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Other clinicians (RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs) may also be qualified.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state/national board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement is provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.
