Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Sales Specialist who will be one of the first people customers meet, helping them find products and transform ideas into reality.

You’ll become the product expert, explaining specifications, features, promotions, and financing options to close a sale and ensure customer needs are met before leaving the store. You will move throughout the store, answer questions, and assist customers with project needs, while providing SMART customer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years of external sales if education is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to Read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and showcasing Lowe's products.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors in your department, handling estimates, scheduling installer visits, orders, and follow-up.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assist as needed.
• Train associates in the department on the sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
