Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is hiring a Sales Specialist in Tampa, FL. You will engage customers, diagnose project needs, present product benefits, and close sales with strong service.

You’ll work across departments, support orders, and help maintain pricing while training teammates to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role emphasizes in-store customer interaction, product knowledge, and the ability to handle varied tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months in Lowe’s retail (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s if education is not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or with assistance above 25 lbs.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state; Lowe's will support.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, handling estimates and orders.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors to restock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
