Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist to assist customers in-store, explain product features, and close sales. You will become a product expert across departments, answering questions and guiding customers from needs to solutions.

You’ll work in a fast-paced retail environment, with responsibilities including customer service, product knowledge, and collaboration with vendors and team members to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education is not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state, Lowe's will fund.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating Lowe's advantages.
• Serve as the point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders and follow up.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock replacement.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
