Job summary

Lowe's is hiring a Sales Specialist to be one of the first associates customers meet, helping them find products and translate ideas into real projects. You’ll become a product expert, discuss specifications and financing, and close sales while advising on promotions and services.

In this role, you’ll work in a department such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, or Tools, and you’ll move around the store assisting customers and resolving questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales / 18 months Lowe’s if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25 lbs
• Lowe's will support and fund sales-related licensure if required

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors, provide project estimates and schedule installer visits
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation
• Support all checkout functions and assist with department requests
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach on development needs
• Complete other duties as assigned
