Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Sales Specialist to help customers in-store with product selection and project execution. You’ll be a product expert, explaining specifications, features, and financing options to close sales while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service.

You’ll move across store areas and assist with orders, installations, and recommendations, ensuring customer satisfaction and ongoing support in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in customer-facing sales or Lowe’s retail experience, or 3 years external customer-facing sales if education is unmet.
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• May require sales-related licensure or registration if mandated by state; Lowe’s supports this.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within the department, handling estimates, installations, orders, and follow-up.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing and documentation.
• Support checkout, assist with requests, and help on the sales floor.
• Train associates in the department with on-the-job coaching and development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
