Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist to greet customers, understand their project needs, and guide them to the right products. You will become a product expert, explain features, promotions, and financing options to close sales in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, handling orders, scheduling installations when needed, and supporting pricing and checkout processes. A broad range of in-store departments may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or equivalent external sales experience).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as point of contact for customers and vendors, handling estimates, scheduling, orders and installations.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors/stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Assist with checkout functions and store communications.
• Train associates on the sales floor and support development needs.
