Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to welcome customers, understand project needs, and guide them to suitable products and services. You will become a product expert, explain specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales, and provide consultative service to meet customer goals.

The role involves active movement in-store, helping customers, and potential work across multiple departments based on hiring needs. Strong communication and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external experience if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or more with accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state (Lowe's will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating advantages of Lowe's products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates and coordinating installations and orders.
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and replacement stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and service requests on the sales floor.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
