Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist in the United States to meet customers, discuss project needs, and help select products that complete home improvement goals. You will become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales with friendly, knowledgeable service on the sales floor.

You will work in a fast-paced store environment with growth opportunities and benefits, including health plans and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe's retail experience
• 1 year sales or customer service in a sales environment with required goals or metrics
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with/without accommodation
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law (Lowe's will support)

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs, answer questions, and communicate the advantages of Lowe's products and services
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, providing project estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing and tracking orders, and following up to ensure project completion
• If in the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales, working with vendors and other stores to find merchandise and order replacement stock
• Perform price reviews by pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation
• Support all checkout functions, call buttons, departmental pages, or requests for assistance
• Train associates in the department by conducting on-the-job training on the Sales floor and coaching around development needs
• Complete other duties as assigned
