Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Specialist to assist customers with project needs, explain product specifications, and close sales. You will become the product expert, discuss promotions and financing options, and ensure customer satisfaction before they leave the store.

You may work in Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Millwork, Plumbing, Outlet, Tool Rental, Pro, or Windows & Walls, with a focus on delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months of Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s if education not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with sales goals/metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with help or accommodations.
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by state (Lowe’s will support).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and explaining the advantages of Lowe’s products and services.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department; provide project estimates, schedule installer visits, process and track orders/installations, and follow up on project completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores to locate merchandise and replace stock.
• Perform price reviews and maintain pricing/documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and in-store communication channels.
• Train department associates on the Sales floor and coach development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
