Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Grand Rapids to welcome customers and help them find products and services for home improvement needs. You will interact with customers, stock and organize merchandise, and assist with checkout while delivering friendly, professional service.

Daily duties vary by department; opportunities exist to train in other areas and support neighboring stores. This role emphasizes customer care and teamwork in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer (inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information).
• 6 months experience using common retail technology (smartphones/tablets).
• Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand/sit for long periods and perform duties as required.
• Minimum 25 lbs lift, unassisted or >25 lbs with accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Stock merchandise by identifying empty shelf space and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately for on-time receipt of merchandise.
• Cross-train in other store areas to improve customer service.
• Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., paint, pipe, wood, drywall, blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
