Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Customer Service Associate to welcome customers and help them find products and services for home improvement. You will engage customers throughout the day, answer questions, and ensure their needs are met.

You will spend time listening, assisting with locating merchandise, and supporting multiple departments as needed, with an emphasis on friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience using a computer to input, access, modify, or output information.
• 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets.
• Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic.
• Ability to stand for long periods, sit, and perform related tasks.
• Able to lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's and deliver friendly, professional service.
• Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise.
• Restock merchandise by identifying empty shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive items on time.
• Cross-train in other store areas to enhance customer service.
• Prepare department merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., paint, pipes, wood, drywall, blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
