Job summary

VitalCaring Group seeks a Field-Based Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality care in patients' homes across Texas City and surrounding areas. You will work one-on-one with patients, delivering tailored exercises and gait training to improve mobility and independence.

You will collaborate with licensed physical therapists, nurses, and care teams, document progress in the EMR, educate patients and caregivers, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• Current CPR certification and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct PTA services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and activities of daily living.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and communicate progress with the PT.
