Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide one-on-one home health care in Texas. You will deliver direct therapy under a licensed PT, help patients regain strength and independence at home, and tailor plans to individual needs.

You will collaborate with therapists, nurses, and care teams, document progress in the EMR, and participate in ongoing training while enjoying strong work–life balance and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and use of assistive devices.
