Job summary

VitalCaring Group seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide hands-on home health care, helping patients regain mobility in the comfort of their homes.

You will work one-on-one with patients, implement individualized plans of care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, and collaborate with nurses and care teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality care across visits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to reduce pain and improve mobility.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and functional mobility.
• Support transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and device use.
