Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality, hands-on care in patients’ homes across Texas. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized plans of care and help patients regain mobility and independence with compassionate, patient-centered support.

The role emphasizes one-on-one treatment, documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with nurses and therapists to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective rehabilitation in a home

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current PTA license or certification as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience preferred (home health experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Follow individualized plans of care to help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, and restore function.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and functional mobility.
• Support patients with transfers, strengthening, and activities of daily living.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation as appropriate.
