Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home health team. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver skilled care in patients' homes, helping improve mobility, strength and independence while promoting safety.

You will collaborate with patients, caregivers, and an interdisciplinary team to support recovery and quality of life at home, with comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program, eligible for licensure.
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1+ year PTA experience in home health or equivalent.
• If less than 1 year, approval from regional leaders and mentoring program.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PTA services under supervision of a licensed PT in patients' homes.
• Document patient responses and any condition changes to supervising PT and clinicians.
• Coordinate care and resources for future needs with caregivers and team.
• Participate in care conferences, chart reviews, and quality improvement activities.
