Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, educate patients, and follow the plan of care under the supervising PT.

Responsibilities include guiding active and passive exercises, documenting responses, coordinating with the care team, and training families on therapy techniques. Valid PTA license and driver's license required; weekend rotation expected.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and plan of care defined by supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercises and gait training.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Instructs patient, family, and care team in therapy areas within PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home settings without bias.
