Job summary

Caretenders, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to provide therapy services in home health settings, following the plan of care established by the supervising PT to improve patient mobility and daily function.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.
• Preferred CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws and the supervising PT plan of care; perform only trained procedures.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercises, gait and ADL training.
• Observes and reports patient responses to the supervising PT and coordinates care.
• Educates patient, family, and health care team within PTA scope of practice.
• Function in home settings with diverse client needs.
