Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of the LHC Group and Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment and provide exercise instruction per the established plan of care. You will help improve patient well‑being in a home health setting and support families and care teams.

Responsibilities include following state PT regulations, instructing patients, observing responses, and coordinating with the care team. Weekend availability and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy.
• Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home PT; follow plan of care set by supervising PT.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, transfers, and safety.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with healthcare team.
