Job summary

Caretenders, a part of LHC Group and a member of the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our home care team. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education as outlined by the plan of care.

This role requires current licensure, access to a vehicle, weekend availability, and the ability to work in diverse home settings. You will collaborate with the supervising PT, nursing staff, and physicians to support patients' well-being.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care and implement the plan of care under supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, gait, and mobility.
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with the health care team.
