Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PRN) to provide patient-focused care in home health settings across Texas. This role offers flexibility and the chance to help patients heal where they feel most comfortable—at home.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy under supervision, documenting patient responses, and coordinating ongoing care with the supervising PT and other clinicians. Prior home health experience is preferred; CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of PTA experience in home health preferred; mentoring possible for less experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsabilités

• Provide physical therapy services under supervision per physician plan of care.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and staff.
• Promote wellness and prevention and plan for future needs.
• Document supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Monitor patient progress and response to therapy interventions.
• Participate in patient care conferences, audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinate follow-up care with admitting agency and community resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
