Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH in Texas is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our per diem daytime shifts delivering PT services in patients' homes. You will work under the supervision of a licensed PT and follow a physician-approved plan of care.

Responsibilities include documenting patient progress, coordinating with care teams, maintaining confidentiality, and promoting wellness. Current PTA license and CPR certification required, with one year home health experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA educational program per CAPTE.
• One year of related PTA experience in home health preferred.
• If less than one year, mentoring/ residency required per regional leadership.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed PT and per care plan.
• Observes and documents patient response to treatment and changes.
• Promotes wellness and prevention and documents supervisory activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
