Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver home health PT services under the supervision of a PT. You will assess patient needs, implement treatment plans, and document progress in the electronic medical record in collaboration with the supervising clinician.

Responsibilities include monitoring responses to therapy, ensuring quality patient care, and coordinating with the care team. Mileage reimbursement and comprehensive benefits are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Current PTA license for the assigned state.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum one year of PTA experience preferred for home health.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Document patient progress and response to treatment.
• Coordinate care with supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and chart accuracy.
• Contribute to care planning and follow-up referrals as needed.
